NOW Foods Garlic 5000 is an odour-controlled garlic supplement providing 500 mg of garlic bulb per tablet, standardised to supply a minimum of 5,000 mcg of allicin and allicin precursors.
Each tablet features an enteric coating designed to delay its breakdown until it reaches the upper intestine. This helps prevent the release of garlic’s strong aroma in the stomach while allowing the allicin precursors to convert after ingestion.
The garlic is processed using a specialised low-moisture method that helps preserve its naturally occurring allicin precursors and the beneficial components found in whole garlic.
